Thanks to all who responded to our need of Readers, Chalice Bearers, and Acolytes for the Holy Week Services.  We are still in need of acolytes for Maundy Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Good Friday, Easter Vigil and 8:00 a.m. Easter Day. Please call the church office (601-544-5551) by March 27 if you would like to acolyte at any of these services.
 
Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday April 8 between the morning services. We need donations of Easter egg stuffers for the plastic eggs.  We have plenty of eggs.
 
Stations of the Cross to be Offered 3 pm on Good Friday.  The Stations of the Cross (or The Way of the Cross) refers to the depiction of the final hours (or Passion) of Jesus, and the devotion commemorating the Passion.  The tradition exists in many faith groups including the Anglican, and Episcopalian churches.  It is most commonly done during the Season of Lent, especially on Good Friday and on Friday evenings during Lent.  At Trinity, we will observe the Stations at 3 pm on Good Friday, April 6 using the form prescribed in the Episcopal Book of Occasional Services (BOS).  The object of the Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer to the chief scenes of Christ's sufferings and death.  The stations themselves will be shown using a series of 14 pictures or sculptures and will be accompanied by the reading of the text from the BOS.  The stations are:  Jesus is condemned to death, Jesus receives the cross, Jesus falls the first time, Jesus meets his mother, Simon carries the cross, Veronica wipes Jesus’ face, Jesus falls the second time, Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem, Jesus falls the Third time, Jesus is stripped of his garments, Jesus is crucified, Jesus dies on the cross, Jesus' body removed from the cross, Jesus is laid in the tomb.
 
It’s Crawfish Boil time again. This year it will be March 31st in conjunction with the Arts and Heritage Festival in downtown Hattiesburg.  We will be serving in front of the Turner Building on Front Street starting at 10:00 until it’s gone.  Anyone who would like to participate please call Ben Carmichael @ 601/705-1213. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: RJ Young Company and the National Basketball Association is building a Habitat Home in Hattiesburg the month of April. Trinity will be participating on April 21st. The Parish Activities Commission will be hosting an Easter potluck brunch at Trinity following the 10:30 am service on Easter day, April 8.  The church and the Commission will provide baked ham, bread, and wine.  We ask that members of the congregation bring their favorite side dish according to the schedule below. If your LAST name begins with the letters shown, bring the kind of dish indicated.  Please bring a listing of ingredients for your dish in case someone has a food allergy.

Teach Them To Fish: An Organizational Meeting for Micro-Industry Mission Work, 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007
 
With the blessing of the Bishop of Honduras, we are forming a mission to teach the people of Honduras various trades and crafts that they can use to sustain themselves.  This fall, we will begin the mission teaching stained glass techniques to the village of Omoa on the north coast of Honduras.  Anyone interested in learning stained glass techniques - whether you want to go on the mission or not - please attend the meeting to learn basic techniques.  We will also discuss strategies for raising money to buy the initial supplies Contact: John DeLancey h2oeasy@aol.com 601-758-0049 (shop) 601-758-0004  (home).

NEEDED: CASSEROLES, SOUPS, BREADS  Help St. Anne’s Keep it’s freezer stocked for delivery to our ill and convalescing, the bereaved and families with new babies. Whenever preparing for your family, make extra, label with directions as needed, bring to the church office. Breads can be banana nut, date nut etc. Thanks!!!

We are collecting food for the Bread Basket pantry during Lent.  Baskets will be in the Narthex of the Church and in the Church Office. Below is a list of preferred foods that make up a basket of food for a family of four for three days. Although a good mixture of items would be helpful, please bring any of these in whatever quantity you are able:
 
1 box of powdered milk or several cans of evaporated milk
1 jar powdered orange drink mix
1 box dry cereal or grits
1 box raisins or other dried fruit
2 boxes macaroni & cheese dinner
1 package of pasta
1 package of rice
6 cans of assorted vegetables
2 cans of pork and beans
1 can of tomatoes or tomato sauce
1 package of dried beans or 2 cans red beans, field peas, etc
1 can tuna
1 can lunch meat
1 jar peanut butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cans of other soups
3 cans of fruit
1 2 lb bag of flour or corn meal
1 2 lb bag of sugar
1 1 lb can of shortening
