WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
On May 5 the AIDS Services Coalition held its annual Run/Walk-a-thon to raise community awareness of AIDS and to raise funds for the Coalition. This year the Coalition raised over $3000, which is almost twice as much as last year. (Photos courtesy of Lici Beveridge and The Hattiesburg American).

Professional video to be made in Church on Pentecost, May 27. At its March meeting the vestry granted permission for a professional videographer to be present in church during a worship service on one Sunday. This will take place on Pentecost Sunday, May 27. Plans are still tentative, but the videographer will likely begin recording from a hidden location near the organ, and then during the service, he will quietly and carefully reposition himself near the back of the church. He has been instructed to be as unobtrusive as possible. We beg your indulgence and your cooperation for this one-time event. In addition, the videographer will record youth activities on a Wednesday evening during late April or early May so that our youth program will be highlighted as well. If you have any questions or comments about this, please call Bill at church or on his cell phone (601-329-3538), or email him at wgstroop@earthlink.net.

Bill and Sunshine to Host “Let’s Get Acquainted” Open Houses. We really want to get to know every member of Trinity parish, and we want you to get to know us better too. To help do that we will host a series of intimate “Getting to Know You” open houses at our home from 5 to 6:30 p.m. one Sunday afternoon each month from May through November. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. Children are especially welcome. Our intention is to provide time and space where we can begin to become more acquainted with each other in a relaxed, cordial atmosphere. In order to make these gatherings small enough to provide quality time together, we have divided the parish into seven groups based on people’s last names. You and your family are invited to come to our home on the Sundays indicated in the table below. Although division of the parish into alphabetical groups might not be ideal, we hope that you will come and spend some time with us and with each other; it is a chance for all of us to get to know one another better. We sincerely hope that you will come to our home on your Sunday between 5 and 6:30 p.m. We have gotten permission from
