IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT CHRISTIAN
FORMATION FOR YOUTH AND CHILDREN
As noted in the Rally Day brochure and in the September Tidings, there have been changes to the Sunday line up of Christian Education and formation events. It is important to note we have Christian formation experiences beginning at both 9:15 and 10:15 am each Sunday. Christian Education is a vital function of
Nursery. Nursery care is provided for infants and young children through the age of 3 beginning at 9 am each Sunday. The coordinator for the nursery is Sarah McClure. Parents of very young children are encouraged to volunteer their time in the nursery to assist Sarah. Betsy McIntyre 601-544-3376 or Anna Laura Brett 601-584-0904 are the persons to contact to volunteer to assist in the nursery.
Children and Youth Hour. This is for children and youth older than 4 years. The program begins at 9:15 am. Appropriate Christian formation programming has been developed for the children that attend.
Children’s Sunday School. The "Godly Play" form of Sunday school is offered for children aged between 4 and 12. It starts at 10:15 am. The coordinators for Sunday School are Jody Link (601-488-0551) and Leslie Hutt.

In addition, if you can, please bring a new stuffed animal to be blessed at the same time. All stuffed animals collected will given to South Mississippi Children’s Shelter or another facility that cares for neglected or abused children.

Bill to be Out of Town. Bill will be out of town for clergy conference at the Gray Center 10/2-10/4. He will also be in
Sunday School Teachers Wanted. If you have a child between 6 and 12 years of age, we need you to volunteer to be a Sunday School Teacher. Please contact the school office or Jody Link or Leslie Hutt.
NEEDED: CASSEROLES, SOUPS, BREADS: Help St. Anne’s keep its freezer stocked for delivery to our ill and convalescing, the bereaved and families with new babies. Whenever preparing for your family, make extra, label with directions as needed, bring to the church office. Breads can be banana nut, date nut etc. Thanks!!!
Jody Burnett’s Purse. If you are interested in helping Jody Burnett while he is in seminary, you can write a check to
Tempered glass in all interior classroom & office doors. To protect children, youth, adults, and staff against any form of harassment, glass panels have been installed in all office and classroom doors. If you would like to donate $85 in memory of a loved one, a plaque will be installed on the door stating, “Window given in loving memory of XXXX by YYYY.” 15 of our 24 windows have been purchased in memory of or in honor of someone. You may still purchase a window.
The October Let’s Get Acquainted Open House at Fr. Bill and Sunshine’s home for last names Saenz-Walker has been rescheduled to October 14.
An Evensong Service has been scheduled for Sunday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m.
The Rev. Edward O’Conner will be installed as the dean of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral on Sunday, October 7 at 4 p.m.
