OUTREACH OF Trinity Episcopal Church

Trinity Episcopal Church is an open and diverse Christian family dedicated to serving God and all creation.  We foster spiritual growth through worship, prayer, education, service, stewardship and celebration. As a historic and landmark parish in a thriving and changing community we seek, welcome and nurture all who wish to share our journey.

Parishioners at Trinity are involved in many outreach opportunities and their presence can be felt in many areas of the community.  Our Outreach Commission thrives due to the commitment of its members and support from sister guilds.  Outreach activity includes support of existing established services such as:

  • Local breadbasket program

Rally Day 2007. Members of the parish sign up
to volunteer for a variety of Outreach Ministries.

  • Local food services program

  • Calling and Caring Commission

  • Hattiesburg Alternative School

  • Interfaith Assistance Program

  • The Trinity Pre-school Program

  • Civitan Camp

  • A welcome ministry for visitors to Trinity

  • The Christmas Adopt a Fire Family

  • The Angel Tree for children of incarcerated families

Enjoying Food at Fall Fest 2007
  • Funding of Big Brothers and Big Sisters

  • Foster Grandparent Program

  • One to On Haven (AIDS Coalition)

  • Mothers Day for Handicapped Children

  • Funding for Boys and Girls Clubs

  • Trinity Aids Assistance

In addition to the above outreach ministries, Trinity Parish is also engaged in a wide variety of "in-reach" ministries (like Fall Fest) and other programs that help people in the community. You can read about all of our ministries and programs by downloading a copy of our Ministry Brochure.
